Winter at the Ötztal, the cold season has arrived in the Tyrolean mountains. Waiting for the snow has come to an end.
Every year at the end of October, the winter season opens with the spectacular Ski World Cup Opening on the Rettenbachferner high above Sölden.
In addition, several times during the season, international DJ's are guests at the mountain station of the Giggijochbahn as part of the Electric Mountain Festival and ensure a unique open air atmosphere.The winter season begins in Obergurgl/Hochgurgl, a ski destination just a few kilometres away, in a more dignified and relaxed manner.

 

The 112 kilometres of pistes offer the perfect terrain for every skier and snowboarder. There is also plenty to experience away from the groomed slopes in the rear Ötztal valley.
